Privacy Policy
Smart TV Comparisons was built by David King. This page explains what is collected when you use the site, who collects it, and what is stored in your browser.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data (such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies. It records aggregated information such as the page visited, the referring site, country and device type. When you click a link to Amazon, we also record that click as an event (the page, the product's Amazon ID and where on the page the link was), so we can see which pages readers find useful.
Google Analytics. We also use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google. Its script loads shortly after a page opens: on your first scroll, click, tap or key press, or when your browser is next idle (within about five seconds), whichever comes first. It sets Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_JNK5HZE8EW) to tell visits apart. Google receives information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, your device and browser, and your IP address. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Fonts and images
Fonts and images are served from this site itself. The site does not load videos, maps or other third-party embeds.
The site has no email sign-up and no other form that collects personal information. An earlier email sign-up was removed in October 2026, and no newsletter is sent. Addresses submitted before then remain in our account with the email provider Resend and in a private archive kept by the site owner. They are not used to send email.
Cookies and browser storage set by this site
The site itself sets no cookies. It uses your browser's local storage only for theme-preference, which is set if you use the light/dark mode switch and does not identify you.
Google Analytics cookies are described above.
Amazon Associates
Smart TV Comparisons participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program that lets sites earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click a link to Amazon, you leave this site, and Amazon may set cookies in your browser to record that you came from here. Amazon's own privacy notice covers what happens on Amazon.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information, and the site has no user accounts or comment system.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
